My Approach

I am an existential psychotherapist, which means much of our work will be centred on your experience of life, struggles, feelings and relationships, and the meaning you take from this. My stance is one that foregoes preconceived ideas or interpretations in favour of really listening to and exploring a client’s individual way of living, as an opportunity to understand how they relate to themselves and others, as well as important events in their life story.

The therapeutic relationship is important to the work. I am committed to creating a safe and non-judgmental space in which we can be open and curious together about your experiences, vulnerabilities and feelings at a pace that feels manageable to you. While therapy is not guaranteed to provide solutions or a ‘cure’, through our work you can hope to come to a greater awareness and clarity about yourself, that may help to shift things and inform practical steps towards change in your life going forwards.

I have a particular interest in working with young people, and have previously worked in the wellbeing team of a London university.

Before training as a psychotherapist, I worked in marketing and public relations, which has afforded me over a decade of personal experience of working in high pressure corporate environments and complex team dynamics. I am passionate about the process of therapy and how this personal commitment and endeavour can assist us in better understanding ourselves, our needs, our relationships and thus empower us to bring about change in our life.

About Me

I am a qualified psychotherapist offering face-to-face and online therapy to individuals over the age of 16 on a long-term or short-term basis.

My training in integrative psychotherapy incorporated humanistic and psychodynamic theory, which underpins the basis for how I consider a client’s foundational younger years and consequent attachment and behavioural patterns, for example, impacting how we relate to people in current relationships.

With further advanced training in Existential Psychotherapy, I am particularly interested in how we process life’s challenges within the body, how we find ourselves in relation to others, and the way we navigate difficult choices as complex and dynamic individuals.

I am a registered member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), and an individual member of the Society for Existential Analysis (SEA). I am also a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP).

I am passionate about working with a variety of human experiences and I aim to practise in an inclusive way that incorporates diversity across age, race, background, gender, sexuality and relationship styles.

Please email me if you would like to know more or would like to arrange a free initial telephone conversation to talk through how we might work together.
