Sometimes we need help and support getting through life. Seeking the support of a therapist offers the chance to reshape, consider, explore, reflect and change aspects of your life.
I work with individuals, couples and groups in an active, supportive and professional manner. My approach is based on existential philosophy which informs my specific work with you. This means your values, your choices and your beliefs take centre stage and underpin our work together. Of course, we can discuss how therapy works if you choose to take the next step and make contact with me.
Professionally I have a doctorate in existential psychotherapy and counselling and also a MSc in counselling psychology. I am fully accredited by BACP and UKCP. My areas of speciality are gender, sexuality, relationships and work/life balance. I have many years experience working in the NHS, both in general practice and also within a service specialising in sexual health, gender and sexuality. This work taught me the importance of relationships, the impact of stress and anxiety, the complex nature of human interactions and the power of talking openly, honestly and without judgement. To complement this work, my doctoral research explored the experiences of straight men in relationship therapy.
