I specialise in helping people who feel overwhelmed by complex life issues, events or past trauma; those who often feel paralysed, stuck, lost, or out of control with their life. Together, through therapy, we aim to ease the mental and physical discomfort of emotions, such as anxiety, sadness, panic, fear or anger and work to restore and create the life they want.
I offer a comfortable space in which you can talk freely and openly and I will listen without judgement and in complete confidence. I will suggest ways to begin to explore & gain a better understanding of the root cause of your overwhelm, enabling you to acknowledge, address and integrate some of your difficult feelings and experiences. In turn, this will reduce their limiting impact on your life and the changes you desire naturally start to occur. This then begins to create a feeling of increased calm, a greater sense of meaning and purpose in your life and a state of being more in harmony with yourself, others and the world.
I am an integrative therapist, meaning I use many different therapeutic approaches and so draw from a variety of recognised skills and techniques. I have been working creatively in this way for nine years and with this experience I carefully select those approaches that I believe will be most beneficial for you personally. My creative & holistic perspective, addresses not only your thinking mind, but how your emotions & experiences are felt and held in your physical body and how they sit with your own spiritual nature and beliefs.
Deep inside, everyone has the answers to all their problems and the ability to find their own solutions. However, sometimes we need someone to walk alongside, to listen unconditionally, give support, encouragement, and gently challenge us, so we can begin to connect with that knowing part of ourself & find answers. I promise to support you to fully engage with the therapy process and facilitate what is necessary for the changes you seek.
I am a fully qualified, UKCP registered, Psychotherapist, with a Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy from the Centre for Counselling & Psychotherapy Education (CCPE) in London.
I am based in Wallingford, South Oxfordshire and offer weekly face-to-face meetings up to a maximum of 26 sessions. I currently have availability.
