There are many reasons why people seek therapy. Most of us will experience difficulties at some stage in our lives and how we respond to these will differ. Psychotherapy can help you gain a deeper awareness and understanding of yourself and your feelings, thoughts and behaviours, and help to put words to feelings which may be difficult to name. My approach is relational and founded in humanistic values. I draw from different theoretical strands in my work, and view therapy as a collaborative and shared journey. I hold a holistic viewpoint and accept that we human beings are multi-dimensional, with conscious and unconscious aspects as well as rational and irrational features.
Within a supportive, confidential and non-judgemental environment we work together to explore your experiences and make sense of them.
I am a qualified Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapist. Like most therapists I work with a range of issues, common among those include experiences related to relationships, attachment, bereavement, developmental trauma, self-confidence, work challenges, addiction, anxiety, depression, physical illness–health and stress. I have a special interest in; relationship dynamics and how early relationships may shape our experiences later in life, experiences of loss and grief, aspects of midlife and ageing, and of feeling stuck in repetitive patterns.
My professional background is in nursing (chronic and life-threatening conditions) and health psychology. I am in regular supervision to support me in my work and I am committed to my ongoing professional development. Originally from Sweden , I speak both Swedish and English.
