About Me

Hi my name is Maria and I offer a safe , and confidential space where you can explore ,learn to understand yourself and different familiar pattens of behaviours . I would like to say a little about me and my personal journey with therapy and counselling . Losing a sibling due to terminal cancer and one of my children having a cancer scare really impacted on me without realising this was affecting me . I was also struggling with marriage difficulties at the same time .

I can recall this time in my life and to this day can still feel the physiological impact on my life and health . I started with panic attacks and became overcome with health anxiety and worries that were irrational , but felt real to me at that time .

I was anxious , scared and did not know where to turn . I sought support and counselling and although this was scary and daunting for me , it was the best thing I did and from that day and the first session I had I never looked back and began studying in transactional analysis and this became my passion in supporting clients who may have encountered trauma , big life changing events and need support and guidance to explore these issues through the therapeutic relationship .

The therapy sessions were positive and and I learned so much about myself and my thought process and self belief , and that was my initial introduction and interest in therapy and I have been passionate about therapy and counselling ever since .
