Are you feeling disconnected from yourself, others and the world around you? Is that manifesting as troubling symptoms like stress, anxiety, over work, over or under eating, eco-anxiety, more time than you'd like scrolling social media or just a general sense of malaise with your life?
My work is centred on reconnecting.
Connection is one of our most primal needs and modern society can leave little time and space for us to nurture our connections - not just to others around us, but importantly to ourselves.
In my work, I create a space for that reconnection with ourselves through reflection, exploration, listening to the body, curiosity, imagination, mindfulness and reconnecting with the natural world.
Increasingly, we're understanding that what we define as the qualities of childhood - the connection with our inner lives, our senses, imagination, dreams and the natural world around us - are powerful contributors to our mental health and wellbeing throughout our lives.
I will work with you to reunite with those parts of you that have become hidden or disconnected through life's challenges and support you in reconnecting with a more centred, connected sense of yourself. We can do this through face-to-face work, drawing on mindfulness techniques and body focusing, using writing, art or play as a means of self-understanding and expression and/or working outside in nature.
Ultimately, I am not prescriptive in how we work but am led by what you feel works for you.
I work from a calm and peaceful clinic on the New King's Road, which is easily accessible from Parsons Green and Putney Bridge stations, and I also work outside in nature in parks around London.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
