My Approach

My approach is transparent, collaborative, inclusive, flexible & creative. I encourage reflection & strength-based thinking to explore different perspectives around all influences affecting your life. Together, we co-create a greater understanding of yourself & others whilst building helpful support systems, establishing shared expectations & reducing anxiety.

Through the systemic experience, we aim to promote motivation and confidence to overcome difficulties, approach things differently, and improve relationships. Systemic Family Therapy has a robust evidence base, & the approach is exceptionally helpful with navigating the complexities of life including where there may be more than one area of difficulty.

I am a member of the NMC (Nursing & Midwifery Council) and AFT (Association of Family Therapy)

About Me

I am a systemic family therapist with extensive experience working in a variety of settings within the NHS including both adult & CAMHS (child & adolescent mental health services). I initially began my career as a mental health nurse & through this work, became aware of the importance of whole family wellbeing.

I have a special interest in parental mental health and intergenerational patterns within families. I also have a decade’s experience as a clinical specialist based in schools, highlighting the importance of social & emotional wellbeing for children & young people to be happy & thrive both their personal & academic lives. I aim to empower the development of a shared understanding of each person's unique mind, body connections in order improve holistic well-being & prevent longer term physical & mental health difficulties.
