My approach is integrative which means I draw on a number of humanistic, gestalt, psychoanalytic and relational theories to inform my practice. This allows my practice to be tailored to each individuals needs in any given session, and provides a multitude of lens through which we can understand any experience.
I also employ the use of the creative and imaginal work and the use of animals in my practice. I have 2 therapeutic dogs who can be part of the session if that works for the client!
I am an integrative psychotherapist with particular interest in development, relationships and trauma and how they interact to shape our here and now experiences. I hold at the core of my work a belief that the therapy can facilitate change and healing, and a space to be open, honest and authentic. I believe therapy is for everyone and that it can help with most situations, challenges or traumas.
Prior to being a psychotherapist, I qualified in Psychology working with young people in education and latterly working and educating with adults and families during the antental, birth and postnatal period.
