I am neurodiversity and LGBTQIA+ affirming, and I stand for trans rights. I value and respect human diversity. There are countless ways to think, feel, and sense the world that are all valid. I draw on a variety of approaches, adapting how we work to best suit you. Together, we will clarify your needs so you can better advocate for yourself and your rights.
I incorporate compassion-focused, existential, narrative, and other non-pathologising approaches. I draw on Internal Family Systems to understand different parts of the self and their roles. As a trauma-focused counsellor, I can support you to explore the effect the past is having on your present life. Together, we make sense of what happened to you to reduce its impact. Then we develop new, more effective, ways to cope.
I am a neurodivergent Integrative Counsellor, with a focus on neurodivergence and trauma counselling. I have over eight years of experience in helping people to heal from adversity, abuse, and trauma. In the past, I worked for NHS community services to support and advocate for people’s emotional health. I currently work in private practice, and with a local charity, The Sue Lambert Trust, counselling survivors of sexual violence.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
