My work is informed by the following psychotherapeutic approaches: Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Integrative Arts, Attachment Theory, Object Relations, Janina Fisher Structural Dissociation Model, Internal Family System, Somatic Experiencing, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and other trauma-informed somatic approaches. The way I practise is at its core relational and what I offer is tailored around each individual's unique needs and consequent to their agreement. Taking a collaborative stance, my aim is to empower my clients as much as possible. I therefore will share resources, psychoeducation, and any knowledge that can help them move forward.
I am a warm-hearted integrative arts and somatic psychotherapist. The focus of my work has been helping trauma survivors in their recovery. My clinical experience includes: PTSD & Complex PTSD, addiction, co-dependence, narcissistic abuse, sexual problems, stress, anxiety, depression, anger management, compulsive behaviours, bereavement, grief, the LGBTQ+ community, low self-esteem and shame, racial trauma, attachment issues and disorders, dissociation and dissociative disorders, BPD (which I see as a diagnostic label for some CPTSD presentation), and psychosis.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
