My Approach

Systemic Psychotherapist & Family Therapist.

About Me

Mature British woman with 2 adult children and 4 grandchildren. Have always worked with children and families both in social services and for the past 20 years in CAMHS. Small private practice.

I work with

  • Couples
  • Families
  • Groups
  • Individuals
  • Private healthcare referrals

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

Parenting and relational issues. Finding ways of managing difference and empowering individuals to be themselves.
Families encountering relational difficulties with children & extended family. Have worked with parental alienation and achieved a successful outcome for both children and parents.
Extensive experience of working with children and young people with a broad range of mental health issues affecting their lives. Currently working with young people who self harm and have attempted suicide.
Diversity and equality have always been a special interest of mine, not least being in a relationship with a black British person and a step parent to his sons. The richness of living, learning and working with difference enhances all our lives.
Am fortunate to be part of the learning and supervision of qualifying Family Therapy Students in addition to supervising social workers and colleagues working in mental health and consulting to their work with children and families
