My approach is integrative, and I use different theories of psychotherapy in my work. In support of sessions, I use various creative mediums in order to help clients access feelings that are difficult to express verbally.
I work relationally as I believe in the impact of the therapeutic relationship on change.
I am a Chartered psychologist (Divisions of Counselling, Clinical and Educational Psychology) with British Psychological Society and a Child Adolescent and Adult psychotherapist (BACP and UKCP Accredited).
Being aware of the importance of the system where each individual lives and the mutual influence between individual and systems (family, school, society, etc.), I completed an intermediate qualification in Systemic Family Therapy and Systemic Practice (AFT) at King's College London. I also have trained in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (Certificate) at the same institution.
I am passionate about the fields of psychology and psychotherapy, and have studied for many years in order to increase my knowledge and expertise. Since 2010, I have been working with children, young people, adults and families.
I provide a safe and non judgemental space offering empathy, creativity, integrity and compassion. I tailor each session to a clients' needs, being aware and sensitive of the cultural and social contexts and complexities where they come from. I provide a confidential, consistent and reliable service to individuals and families with a wide range of different difficulties, including anxiety, depression, self-harm, sexual abuse, trauma and PTSD, identity and gender difficulties, suicide ideation, bereavement, relationship difficulties, stress, chronic illness, and neurodiversity.
