At the heart of the person-centred approach is the belief that we all have the potential to make sense of and work through the issues and challenges we face. My role is to walk beside you on that journey, helping you to achieve greater self-understanding, self-compassion and self-acceptance.
Before we start work together, I offer a free phone consultation so that we can meet each other, explore what would be useful for you from therapy, and give you the opportunity to decide if I am the right therapist for you.
We all have periods in our lives where we face changes, challenges or struggles and talking to someone can be very valuable in being able to make sense of things and move forward. As a person-centred therapist, my focus is on accompanying you with whatever issues you are dealing with. By offering a safe, empathic non-judgemental relationship, it becomes more possible to make sense of emotions and experiences.
The Person-centred approach is a relational way of working, based on the belief that we each possess the inner wisdom to move towards greater self-acceptance and self-compassion.
I trained at the Metanoia Institute and have a MSc in Person-Centred Psychotherapy. As well as my private practice, I work in bereavement therapy and in a suicide prevention service.
