I see counselling as a joint endeavour. I am there to support you and help you to find your own path forward. I aim to help explore these patterns of thoughts, feelings or behaviours with an attitude of openness and curiosity. I hope that the process will help you to re-discover understanding, purpose and meaning; what matters to you, what you would like to be different and how to meet inevitable challenges of life with renewed energy.
I work integratively which means I use different therapeutic models depending on what the you need. I integrate existential, psychodynamic and humanistic approaches, as well as trauma-informed techniques.
Sessions last for 50 minutes and take place at the same time every week. I offer short-term and long-term therapy both face-to-face and online. Please contact me for any further information.
I am UKCP and BACP qualified and have Master’s degree and Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling from Regents University London. I am a lecturer at the Minster Centre in London where I teach humanistic and existential theory and am currently training to be a supervisor.
I currently work in both the charitable and private sector. This means I have experience of supporting people from all walks of life coping with a broad range of challenges such as, depression, anxiety, anger, neurodiversity, bereavement, trauma and many more.
I believe that therapy helps to deepen our understanding of ourselves, our feelings and how we relate to others. People often avoid difficult feelings – but these moods of sadness, anxiety, depression, anger tell us something significant about who we are and what is important to us. Allowing space in therapy to explore and be curious about all our feelings and experiences helps things to shift and change. In this way therapy helps to open up possibilities and provide an improved connection to ourselves, to others and to the world around us.
