Psychotherapy can offer a unique experience; a space outside of everyday life and relationships, in which to connect with aspects of your life that may be causing you concern.
This concern may be specific and seem quite clear to you, such as dealing with bereavement, relationship breakdown, ill-health, addiction or anxiety, however it is not unusual to seek therapy for more complex reasons that may be harder to define.
Sometimes a sense that life could be better or should not be so painful can lead to arriving here, or a sense that something from the past is blocking your progress. There may be a sense of desperation and despair that is driving your search for support.
Whatever the reason for seeking therapy, I offer a safe, confidential and containing environment, in which together we will work to shed light on your situation, in the hope of finding meaningful and lasting ways of navigating life. This will be a collaborative process involving commitment and courage.
I offer a safe and confidential space in which to reflect on your reasons for finding yourself here. I have experience of working with people from many different backgrounds, of all ages. If you would like to explore the possibility of working together, please get in touch and we will endeavour to find a time to meet for exploratory sessions to consider your needs.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
