I believe that we all have an innate capacity to grow and change, and that sometimes we need to explore our personal stories to get this moving again. As children we often make decisions about ourselves based on our environment; sometimes these beliefs and decisions are unkind and can leave us feeling stuck, depressed, or not "good enough". Through therapy we can update these beliefs and let go of what isn't ours to carry. Together we can develop coping strategies that can help you in the moment, and give you space to make any changes to your internal process or update outdated beliefs about yourself and the world.
I have worked extensively with depression, anxiety, trauma and abuse amongst others and my clinical experience spans NHS primary care, the charity sector and private practice. I have also delivered and created group programs within addiction services.
As an integrative therapist I combine a number of therapeutic modalities to tailor therapy to you. I value the unconscious process and believe that working creatively has therapeutic benefits, particularly for those experiences which may feel unspeakable or hard to reach.
I understand that life can sometimes be hard, and that taking a risk and reaching out can feel scary. If you are nervous or unsure and feel like you would benefit from an informal call or email before we meet, to discuss my ways of working or to ask any questions, I am happy for you to get in touch.
I am qualified to Masters level with additional training in Jungian clinical concepts. My current CPD interests centre around trauma, addiction and shame.
