I am an experienced UKCP accredited humanistic psychotherapist. Humanistic psychotherapy is a unique and empowering approach to mental health that can help you explore yourself, all parts of yourself, even those parts that we may choose to hide. You are a unique and complex being and in therapy we create a collaborative environment where you can explore your inner world and develop a deeper understanding of yourself.
Reaching out for help can be hugely daunting. You may be experiencing low mood, anxiety, grief; thinking about harming yourself or having thoughts about suicide. With over 20 years’ experience in mental health, I am here for you. Maybe you are having difficulties in your relationship, feel your self-esteem is low: you may feel something is not right, but unsure what this is. Therapy can help you explore whatever is happening for you and I aim, in collaboration with you, to create an environment that feels supportive and non-judgemental, which enables you to take charge of your life and make meaningful changes.
I hold a Masters degree in Psychotherapy from the University of Brighton. Before becoming a therapist I worked as a mental health nurse for the NHS is Hampshire and Sussex, providing me with a broad experience with mental health difficulties. I specialise in supporting those affected by suicide, either with the grief of losing a loved one to suicide or if you are experiencing thoughts of suicide yourself.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
