My Approach

I work holistically and collaboratively as a psychotherapist, drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches to meet the needs of each individual or family. My work is grounded in systemic and narrative psychotherapy, with a focus on understanding people in the context of their relationships, life experiences, and the stories they hold about themselves and others.

This approach creates a space to explore how difficulties have developed, what has helped you cope so far, and how alternative ways of understanding yourself or your situation might open up new possibilities. I aim to work at a pace that feels safe and respectful, supporting change that feels meaningful and sustainable.

About Me

Having worked in the NHS for over 15 years, I now offer a small number of private psychotherapy sessions. I work with individuals (adults and children), couples, and families.

I began my career as an Assistant Clinical Psychologist in a Primary Care Mental Health Team, supporting adults experiencing a wide range of psychological difficulties. I later trained and qualified as a Clinical Associate in Applied Psychology, working with children, young people, and their families who were facing challenges such as anxiety, low mood, emotional or behavioural difficulties, and neurodevelopmental differences.

Over time, I became increasingly interested in the wider contexts that shape our experiences. None of us exist in isolation; we are influenced by our relationships, histories, and the social and cultural environments around us. This led me to train in systemic psychotherapy, where my work is informed by a trauma-focused perspective. I am particularly interested in understanding the roots of current difficulties, helping people make sense of their experiences, and supporting the development of greater connection, communication, and meaning within relationships.

I offer in-person sessions at the Wellbeing Rooms in both Stepps and Bearsden, as well as online appointments.
