Above all, I strive to create a safe, welcoming space where children feel accepted, valued, and free to be themselves. Whether they are navigating anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, or life transitions, I am here to support them in finding their voice and building emotional resilience.
My approach is integrative, with emphasis upon person-centred and psychodynamic theory to support young people through their emotional and psychological challenges. My practice is led by the child, and rooted in a deep understanding of each child’s unique experiences, providing a safe and nurturing space for them to explore their thoughts and feelings at their own pace.
Using creative therapeutic techniques such as sand tray work, puppets, art, and play, I help children express themselves in ways that feel natural and comfortable. My goal is to foster resilience, self-awareness, and emotional well-being, empowering young people to navigate life with greater confidence and clarity.

My name is Keely Teare, founder of KT Counselling.org. I am a fully qualified integrative Child and Adolescent Psychotherapeutic Counsellor.
I'm accredited with UKCP/UPCA and a registered member of BACP.
I have spent many years working with children and young people in educational settings, supporting those with diverse abilities and needs. This experience has deepened my understanding of the challenges young people face and the importance of being truly seen and heard. As an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor, I bring a gentle and creative approach, tailoring sessions to each child’s unique way of expressing themselves.
I hold sessions online (age 12+), and face to face in locations in Bury St Edmunds and Clare, Suffolk.
