My Approach

My professional approach is trauma-informed, systemic, and relational at its core, with a strong emphasis on Non-Violent Resistance (NVR) to foster safety, connection, and meaningful change. As a systemic supervisor, I draw on systemic principles to guide my work with individuals, families and teams, ensuring that every perspective is heard and understood within its wider context. I work collaboratively with young people, carers and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring that all voices, particularly the young person’s, are heard and valued in planning and decision-making. I place a strong focus on reflective practice, early intervention and building resilience within both individuals and systems. Guided by a compassionate, strengths-based lens, I support teams to navigate complex situations with clarity and confidence while embedding sustainable strategies that create lasting positive outcomes.

About Me

A passionate, dynamic, and innovative clinician with over 24 years’ experience in children’s services and youth mental health across Australia and the United Kingdom, bringing extensive expertise as a Systemic Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor. Skilled in leading teams within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), Headspace, and complex care, with a strong commitment to remaining at the forefront of evolving evidence-based practice and research to deliver the highest quality support to children, young people, and their parents/carers. Renowned for pioneering innovative service models, including Single Session Thinking (SST), and for embedding trauma-informed and systemic frameworks within out-of-home care, creating sustainable, real-world change that enhances outcomes for young people and strengthens the teams who support them.
