My approach to counselling is to work relationally with you and offer a safe, compassionate space to allow for exploration, clarity and understanding, I understand the need that we all have to feel seen, valued and heard.
I offer talking therapy but I can also work creatively, using play, sand tray or other creative outlets such as art and craft to help you express and explore your feelings and situation. This way of working is undertaken collaboratively, after discussion, and in a way that feels comfortable to you.
I work with children, young people and adults and I offer face to face or online sessions.
If you would like to arrange a telephone conversation to discuss whether I would be the right therapist for you, please get in contact.
I look forward to hearing from you and starting this journey!
Hello my name is Katie. I am a qualified and experienced integrative psychotherapist and counsellor.
You may be considering therapy for many reasons; you might be experiencing anxiety or low mood, or want to gain a better understanding of yourself and the different ways you behave, or you might have experienced a difficult life event, such as a bereavement, relationship breakup or illness. Alternatively you may be experiencing work difficulties or problems within friendships and family relationships, or you might be struggling with low-confidence and self-esteem.
Whatever your issue or concern, large or small, therapy or counselling can offer you a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space to explore what has happened and how you are feeling.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
