My training in Psychoanalysis informs my thinking & practice but not in a rigid manner. I am interested in people as individuals, and work with them to address the unique nature of their suffering and experiences in the world that have brought them to therapy. Whatever their reason for coming (anxiety, depression, grief, conflicts in personal relationships or anything else) each person is welcomed into a confidential space where they are free to speak about that which is of most importance to them.
I have been practising psychoanalysis for over 25 years both in the NHS & in my private practice in East London. I also teach on several psychoanalysis/psychotherapy training courses as well as courses for NHS staff. I provide regular clinical supervision for trainees & qualified practitioners & ad hoc consultancy for organisations such as Social Services, homes for looked after children & Reproductive Health units.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
