I trained as a psychodynamic psychotherapist at WPF in London, I have also trained at the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute which enables me to include the body in psychotherapy as both a source of information and a target for intervention.
I am experienced in a wide range of emotional and relationship difficulties, working one to one with individuals over the age of 18. I offer a safe, calm and supportive space to talk.
My aim is to provide a framework which will allow you to articulate and process difficult feelings or experiences that you are facing. Therapy sessions provide an opportunity for you to feel understood and supported which can often bring relief and a renewed capacity to cope.
It's important to know that psychotherapy is not a panacea for all ills, however there is a lot of good research that shows that it can help. I would suggest that it offers a place where you can gain insight into yourself, a greater awareness of the different aspects of what you're feeling and what's happening in you. This will give you more choices and make you feel more connected with yourself which, in turn, will allow you to be more connected with other people.
The relationship between therapist and client is very important. An initial appointment will give you an opportunity to talk openly about your concerns and a chance to experience how we might work together. What you choose to talk about will be in confidence. We can think together about what you are hoping for from therapy.

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
