I have considerable experience in treating individuals with depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, low self esteem, anger, relationship difficulties, bereavement, loss, addictions, emotional eating and all aspects of perinatal mental health including birth trauma.
I offer short and long term counselling and my training in psychotherapy enables me to work in depth with issues. My core training is Transactional Analysis psychotherapy and as a psychotherapist I offer a integrative approach which means I work with a number of psychotherapeutic approaches dependant on individuals psychotherapy needs.

My counselling experience has included working with drug and alcohol agencies where I counselled individuals to address their difficulties with substances. I also facilitated alcohol and drug relapse prevention groups to enable clients to develop the skills necessary to control their addictive behaviour.
I have worked as a counsellor for a Hospice Counselling Service supporting people with life limiting conditions and health challenges as well as the bereaved. I have been in Private Practice for a number of years.
I have completed training in EMDR - a specific technique for addressing trauma. I am able to offer this trauma focused treatment for a wide range of trauma presentations.
I have also worked for an NHS psychological service providing group therapy for depression, anxiety and related issues.
I have worked as a specialist psychotherapist for a perinatal counselling service and I am able to work with the complexities of pregnancy, loss and birth trauma.
