My approach is based in the belief that your life has a purpose that matters, and the issues you bring to therapy may relate to that purpose. Therapy can offer a space and support to explore your own questions and dilemmas. In this space the way you relate to the events of your life may evolve and heal and yield new meaning. In the process of therapy you may find that significant life changes come about, both rewarding and demanding. Therapy is a supportive place to express yourself and come to a better understanding of your life patterns. This knowing of yourself gives you opportunity to make better decisions for you and your relationships and life. As an integrative therapist I use a variety of methods and approaches, we will set out a plan at the start of our work together to determine the best suited approach for you.
I work in with both the integrative and transpersonal method of Psychotherapy. I am both a senior accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy BACP, and an accredited member of the UKCP. i am also an affiliate member of the West Midlands Institute of Psychotherapy, and I am actively engaged in continual professional training. I have been working as a therapist for over 30 years, with extensive experience in the NHS and University sectors. I currently have an established private practice. Please visit my website and/or contact me directly for more information to see if I am the right therapist for you and for what you need from starting therapy.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
