I’m a fully-qualified psychotherapist with over seven years experience based in Crouch End. I am an integrative therapist so I draw on range of theories and tailor my approach to the needs of each person I work with, and the way they want to use therapy.
I offer a safe, supportive space to work through issues you are facing. Exploring these together can help with processing what you are experiencing. Over time it can also open up an awareness of choices, or opportunities for change and growth. I approach therapy as a collaboration. Within this an aim for me is that, by working together, the clients I work with are able to address difficult feelings and issues - in their present or their past - and can come to feel more at peace and more empowered in the situations they are in.
I work online or face to face. Sessions last for 50 minutes, and are usually weekly at the same time. It’s important to attend regularly, but if you need a more flexible approach, we can discuss this at our first session. It can be tough to decide whether to start therapy and to find the right person: I don’t charge for an initial telephone consultation, as this can help you decide how you feel about talking to me, please just email or call to find a good time.
I have practiced for over seven years, largely in the voluntary sector. I trained at the Metanoia Insitute (MSc Integrative Psychotherapy). My professional background alongside this includes roles in research and service development, working with local authorities, schools and mental health services, as well as a brief stint in the private sector.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
