I primarily work with individuals and families using systemic family therapy theory.
People come to therapy for many different reasons, they need a safe and non-judgmental space to explore those difficulties. This is what I seek to provide either to individuals, couples or families.
I have degrees in psychology and social work and have been a registered social worker since 2016. I have an interest in issues of power and difference including gender, race, religion, age, disability, class, sexuality and gender identity.
I have experience working with families with a range of challenges as well as with children placed in foster care, adopted and those living with extended family.
For the past five and a half years I have worked in various CAMHS clinics in Kent supporting young people with mental health difficulties. I currently work at an adolescent inpatient unit supporting young people with a variety of mental health difficulties. I have particular interest and experience working with autistic people and completed my masters dissertation on autistic masking. I have significant experience supporting parents and carers with behaviour that challenges, working systemically and also offering Non-Violent Resistance. I also have experience supporting families where there are challenges with anxiety, low mood, OCD, anorexia and, supporting families and individuals with past experiences of trauma.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
