I am a relational practitioner and qualified psychotherapist. I am a Certified Transactional Analyst (CTA) with a Master’s Degree (MSc) in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy and a Clinical Diploma (Cl Dip) in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy. I am certified by the European Association of Transactional Analysis (EATA) and I have a certificate of accreditation in the NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) endorsed ‘couples therapy for depression (CTFD)’ programme at the Tavistock Institute. I completed my CTA and Masters training at the Metanoia Institute, London.
As a former professional musician I understand the pressures of performance, judgement, and balancing creativity with financial stability. I believe these types of pressures affect everyone, so I like looking creatively at our life situations and using the power of imagination to help us move toward the places we want to inhabit.
I am registered as Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), the British Association of Performing Arts Medicine (BAPAM), the International Association of Relational Transactional Analysis (IARTA)and the European Association of Transactional Analysis (EATA). I offer concessionary rates for BAPAM-registered clients. I am governed by these organisations codes of ethics. I am also registered as a mentor for musicians through the Co-Pilot: the Musicians’ Mentoring Network. In my past training I have volunteered at Richmond Aid for one year and I worked with young people by volunteering at Hounslow Youth Counselling Service for nine months.
I am currently working face-to-face and online. I like to work with clients on a weekly basis as I think that, like exercise, consistency helps support meaningful change. I offer face-to-face sessions in Richmond at the Practice Rooms (https://thepracticerooms.co.uk) on a Monday night and during the day on a Thursday and Friday. I also offer face-to-face sessions at The Greenhouse Therapy Rooms in Chiswick (https://thegreenhouserooms.com) during the day on a Tuesday. At other times I work online.
If you would like to consider working with me, I am happy to have an initial phone conversation to understand where you are and what you would like from therapy. From there, if we agree we would like to consider working together more, we can have an initial full 50-minute consultation session.
I recently contributed to an article in Happiful Magazine, a publication associated with the Counselling Directory, if you would like to read some of my thoughts on how music can help in in therapy, and in life generally.
The article is available here:

I am a psychotherapist, and I believe we can write our own life stories. I have an interest in couples work and I am a former musician so I like working creatively. I have years of experience working with both couples and individuals, and can offer a free initial 20-minute consultation. I work online and face-to-face in the Richmond area.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
