Hello and welcome. If you have found your way here you may be looking for some support to help you navigate something difficult or distressing in your life. That takes real courage. Making contact with a counsellor can be nerve wracking and scary; no doubt you might be feeling a bit nervous or confused about what counselling actually is, how it works and how it might help you. Talking to someone in a place of safety and without the fear or judgement can really help to make sense of your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. My aim is to provide you with a therapeutic space in which you feel cared about, respected and understood so that we can explore the distress and confusion you might be feeling sensitively and with compassion.
Together we can look to understand the problem, where it may have begun and how you might move forward. This might include issues such as anxiety, low self esteem, stress, addiction, symptoms of depression or family/relationship issues.
