My role is to help bring unconscious thoughts and feelings into awareness, supporting you to develop a deeper understanding of yourself. By exploring how past experiences and relationships may influence your present life, we can work together to make sense of emotional difficulties and create space for new ways of responding and relating.
I am a qualified adult psychotherapist, registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), and I work in accordance with their code of ethics. I am also a member of the Cambridge Society for Psychotherapy, where I trained in psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
I have experience supporting people with a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, and OCD, as well as the emotional effects of living with life-changing health conditions such as cancer.
I also work with people who identify as neurodivergent, are exploring whether they may be neurodivergent, or have a formal diagnosis. I hold a Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Autism.
I offer 50-minute sessions, usually on a weekly basis. Sessions are primarily in person, held in my garden room in East Chesterton, Cambridge, though online therapy is also available
where needed.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
