My Approach

I work holistically with for example anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodiversity or abuse. Whether you’re looking to take your time and explore deeply, or focus on a specific issue to find a clear way forward, I’m here to help.

My approach is holistic: I’m interested in your present experience, your past influences, and your hopes for the future. I pay attention to how you think, feel and relate to the world around you. I believe that the therapeutic relationship can help you understand yourself more deeply and from that understanding you will find new and more positive ways to move forward with your life.

About Me

I am a fully accredited psychotherapist, working across the spectrum of mental health conditions and can offer a calm and supportive space for you to explore your difficulties safely and thoroughly. Alongside my psychotherapeutic training I bring many years’ experience in child development, education, family support and youth work.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

Each stage of our lives presents new and different challenges, from entering adulthood, to becoming a parent, to menopause or mid life crises or empty nest syndrome and retirement. Any of these experiences can trigger an emotional or existential crisis especially when there are other factors impacting your life. With a strong background in developmental and learning theories I am particularly interested in supporting clients through significant change.
We are living in demanding times, where many suffer chronic and debilitating anxiety. I work holistically to understand the root of your anxiety, how it manifests, how you can learn to self-regulate, build confidence, challenge your own limitations and live a more satisfying and rewarding life.
I am particularly interested in the relational aspects of our wellbeing. We are so impacted by the people around us, but also by our relationship with ourselves. Therapy helps to unpick the ways we relate that work both for and against us and I believe this is an important pathway to healing.
