My Approach

Hi i'm Jenny and I combine an integrative approach, including NLP & CBT, with a wealth of life experience to help my clients quickly change restrictive patterns, perceptions and beliefs so that they live the lives THEY want. Todays world of constant new challenges (life, climate, political & economic change) that rock our very world can make it can be hard to feel secure. I work with clients to help them find their rock to hold onto, to bring secure meaning to life again. I believe that every day offers a new beginning, a fresh start and that if we believe anything is possible!

About Me

PSYCHOTHERAPIST, COACH, MENTOR AND CHANGE CATALYST www.jennywardle@me.com
What would it be like to have freedom of mind & spirit and to live in harmony with the natural world? Down to earth, astute and caring I work simply and quickly to help people overcome those things can block our ability to do so. People come to me with: anxiety (general or climate anxiety), depression, trauma/ PTSD, grief/loss/ bereavement, relationship issues, couples issues, low self-esteem, anger, conflict, phobias, betrayal, divorce, OCD and career /life changes.

Change and evolution are a natural part of things but since Covid the pace of change seems to have ratcheted up several gears. Climate change, AI, scientific and technological advances, space exploration, the Ukraine and other wars have touched everyone's lives. Things will never be the same again and whilst some of the change may be for the better most of us will be coping with loss/ trauma of some kind and will be taking time to find a new path.

That’s Ok. It takes time to make sense of it all, to come to terms with things and to find the courage to step out again.

In all this it may be hard to see opportunities for a new, different, better life, all underpinned by the things that really matter to you, now.

Finding your way through can be helped by talking to someone who understands, who you can trust, who doesn’t judge but listens between the lines to help you move forward. Whatever your situation help is at hand. Reach out for the new richer life.

Personal Coaching
Understanding and being comfortable with yourself and using that knowledge to be the best you can be is one of the greatest keys to personal success. Understanding ourselves helps us to value our own and other’s difference and is crucial for: communication, rapport, leadership, team working, relationships, achievement, success, personal change (removing limiting beliefs and behaviours) and growth to achieve congruency with our core being and the satisfaction and ‘success’ that that brings.

Today’s fast paced personal, business and social changes mean we are all challenged at times. Our values and beliefs may be compromised and our sense of self and the things that are important may be challenged. Perhaps we have no-one to talk to, chew the cud with, or perhaps there is just too much to cope with at once. Its often difficult to see how to manage a career, achieve that promotion, step out of the rut, save a marriage, cope with teenagers… Personal coaching can help you see the wood from the trees and to overcome limiting perceptions and beliefs so that you can achieve your true potential.

Executive Coaching:
Executives lead busy lives… It has always been tough and lonely at the top but in today’s world it’s even tougher. Constant change has been a given for a number of years now but no-one has experienced the likes of this COVID global pandemic before which has raised the leadership game enormously. Decisions are harder and faster paced, often challenging values and ethics, with outcomes that are very difficult to predict but that have wide ranging and profound impacts. No-one can have all the answers. Your own personal coach or mentor can help you navigate through, to be more focused, confident, effective and authentic, challenging you to think differently and to change those limiting perceptions in all aspects of work and life.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

Abuse can have many forms but whatever you are experiencing there is a way out. The first step is to take action for yourself and to seek help. Then you will come to see and believe that you deserve better and are good enough. You can gain confidence to take the way out.
Anxiety, depression, panic attacks, stress, lack of confidence, loss of our sense of self as a consequence of change - these are the ranges of mental health issues I work with. Most of us have had mental health issues and lost hope at some point in our lives, especially since the pandemic. Maybe you just can't make sense of life or want to achieve your own sense of life rather than someone else's? Or maybe you are worried about the seeming 'suddenness' of climate change and don't know what to do. It can be hard to have the strength to cope, to find hope and energy for a new way of being but there is always a way forward, a positive future and there is support from someone who understands. Joy and happiness can return.
Bereavement can take many forms - loss of a loved one, a close friend, a job, retirement, a relationship, a belief... I prefer to think of this in terms of 'loss' generally and work with people to help them to work through, come to terms with and move on from whatever their loss is, however big or small, recent or 'old', maybe one that was never talked about... Sometimes it's a shoulder that is needed. A loss is very real and feelings are genuine. Losses generally can't be changed but how we look at/ cope with them can so that life can move on and we can see rainbows again.
I don't imagine there is anyone who goes through life without having had some kind of relationship issue, personal or business. Often such issues are due to lack of communication or understanding of the other person and vice versa. There may be different viewpoints on life or how to run a business which only come to light as relationships progress. There may be a feeling of not being valued or cared for. I work with people to help them work out what is causing their particular relationship issue/s and to achieve a constructive way forward for everyone, for happier lives.
TraumaI can happen as a result of an event that is physically or emotionally threatening or harmful. A whole range of emotions can be felt both immediately after the event and over the long term: feelings of being overwhelmed, helpless, shocked, having difficulty processing experiences, relating to others or there may be physical symptoms. Sometimes these emotions/symptoms are ongoing or can erupt quite unexpectedly especially if the trauma has been buried for a long time. I work with people to surface and resolve their traumas so that their lives stop being restricted and fearful and the sun shines again.
