UKCP has moved to York House, 221 Pentonville Road, London N1 9UZ. We are updating the address listed in all our documents, please bear with us as we make these changes.
I practice relational gestalt therapy, working collaboratively with people to explore patterns emerging in their life and significant relationships. Taking an embodied approach, I seek to stay with my own and the client’s felt sense of the present moment. Maintaining sensitivity to my own physically felt experience, I’m interested in how my clients live as their bodies, making sense of their world in an embodied way.
Rather than being interpretive, I seek to meet clients with an open mind, remaining curious of how they make sense of their world and the space we share each week. My faith in dialogue means attending to what emerges between us, even when this feels difficult. To establish a relationship of trust with clients I take an honest approach, which sometimes includes the sharing of my experience of our therapeutic relationship, when I believe it will be helpful.
I believe most of us have the ability to make rewarding contact with others and lead a satisfying and creative life, yet sometimes we get stuck when fixed patterns and beliefs about ourselves get in the way.
I work in Dublin, Ireland with individuals seeking both short-term and long-term work.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
