I am an Integrative Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor and Doctoral Researcher. I work privately with individuals, couples, groups and supervisees. I work relationally, believing that the client/therapist fit is key to a positive outcome. I commit to a shared process of trying to make sense of the unique issues that affect each individual or relationship; from that which is known to the less conscious levels and together, we find effective ways to heal. I have worked in private practice for 17 years, working with the many levels of trauma, adverse childhood experiences (ACE's) and life challenges and the consequential developmental and relational struggles that can result.
I am based in Hertfordshire, working online and in several locations. My doctoral research is focused on supporting individuals who have been victims of partners/people displaying psychopathic traits (PDPT's). These include superficial charm, lying and deceit, manipulation and lack of empathy or remorse. I understand the specific, yet hidden psychological harm that results from this particular form of insidious relational abuse (IRA). I am committed to effectively supporting my clients who are in the recovery process from such relationships and to providing training to psychotherapy professionals in understanding how to work effectively with their own clients.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
