My Approach

I specialise in working with issues surrounding gender, sexuality and identity, and the specific needs of the LGBTQIA+/ GSRD (Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diverse) community. I welcome working with people with diverse gender and sexual identities, people who engage in chemsex or consensual polyamorous relationships, sex-workers and people living with HIV. I also welcome working with trans/transgender clients, pre/post or questioning transition, people who engage in cross-dressing, people who identify as Neurodivergent, Crip or Queer, and people who engage in Kink, BDSM, asexuality or celibacy.

I am quite open and easy to talk to, and I think I do well with people who are nervous about coming to therapy, who find it hard to open up or who have unusual issues that cause them shame. I prefer to work in a flexible, client-centred and integrative manner, drawing from different approaches, depending on your needs and preferences. I aim to create a space where you can feel safe, understood and listened to. Therapy begins by learning who and how you are, so that collaboratively we can shape ways in which you can grow, heal and change.

Get in touch if you have any questions or would like to organise an introductory session.

About Me

I am an UKCP accredited psychotherapist with a first degree in psychology and a doctorate in existential psychotherapy. My academic research on crossdressing delves into issues such as sexuality, gender, identity and their connection with existential themes such as being, inauthenticity, lack of freedom and meaning. This is also mirrored within my private practice, where I usually work with people at the intersection between social class, gender, sexuality, neurodiversity, race/ethnicity, faith and disability and the social, personal, and political context my clients find themselves in.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

Whether we identify as neurodivergent or not, there are a multitude of struggles surrounding fitting in within the normative and neurotypical ways of being that can be expressed, explored and worked on. The therapy hour will be adapted to your sensory needs and processing style. The ultimate therapeutic goal will be to empower you to create a life that aligns with your authentic self.
We are often left struggling to find meaning and connection, feeling isolated, anxious and depressed as a result. Psychotherapy can help you understand your feelings and what causes them alongside the behaviours and ideas that contribute to how you feel. Through therapy you can find out which aspects of those problems you may be able to improve in order to regain a sense of control over your life.
Bodies are not only gendered, but also racialised, colonised, ageing, disabled and classed bodies as well, bodies that are affected by multiple and intersecting systems of normativity, power and domination. I aim to offer a safe space where you can unpack your feelings, your dilemmas and make sense of your experiences.
Wherever you are on the LGBTQAI+ spectrum, or at the margins of it, you will be welcomed and accepted as you are. I use gender-affirming approaches tailored to your needs, whether that is for healing, growth, self-acceptance or change. I am open to working with non-monogamy, polyamory, Kink, BDSM, sex-work, chemsex, HIV, public cruising, asexuality and celibacy.
Wherever you are on your journey, I aim to offer you a place of acceptance and empowerment to express yourself, a place where you will be heard and listened to. I welcome working with clients pre/post or questioning transition, self-identified crossdressers and non-binary, and any other non-Western forms of self-identification.
