I am an integrative child and adolescent psychotherapist and work with children, adolescents and adults. As an integrative psychotherapist I draw from a range of modalities and theories. I enjoy being able to be diverse in the way I work, adapting my approach to each individual and what they might need.
I practice from a relational stance and can work with an extensive array of issues. In my approach with children I often work in the metaphor to help make sense of their world, through the mediums of art, play, movement and sandtray. My style is warm, open and engaged and I pay close attention to what each client brings to the session, to my own response and what emerges between us. I offer a safe space to allow clients the opportunity to explore presenting issues freely and in-depth. I believe that compassion, empathy and the alliance between the therapist and client are the keys to therapeutic change.
I am a qualified integrative child and adolescent psychotherapist. I also offer reflective parenting sessions as well as individual therapy for adults.
I have experience of working with clients on various issues affecting their well-being, including developmental trauma, abuse, depression, anxiety, anger, bereavement and loss, PTSD, self-esteem, self-harm, divorce and separation, family conflict, identity, school refusal and exclusion, behavioural problems and fostering and adoption,
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
