My Approach

I’m Helen, a professional counsellor with extensive experience in mental health and counselling practices. I offer a safe and supportive environment for individuals seeking guidance and understanding, with spaces available both in the heart of Bury St Edmunds and at my home office in Brookville.

My approach to counselling is relational; I strive to create a comfortable atmosphere where you can feel at ease to share your thoughts and feelings. I take a robust stance in our sessions, allowing me to hold and support what you may need to unload. Honesty is key in my practice, as I believe in the importance of challenging and nurturing growth. My empathetic nature drives me to understand your experiences, even when it feels overwhelming.

I hold a BA (Hons) degree in Integrative Counselling and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), as well as an accredited member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). These qualifications reflect my commitment to professional standards and ethics in counselling.

I invite you to reach out if you would like to discuss your needs or if you have any questions regarding my services.

About Me

I am calm, friendly and grounded. I come from a combined background of yoga teaching and working with secondary school children with behavioral issues, moving into counselling as a result of these experiences and my own life experiences.
