I enjoy working in a warm and collaborative style, creating a space where people feel safe, understood and valued. I draw on a range of theoretical models and techniques which are adapted to the individual client. At the beginning, therapy is typically about building trust, getting to know each other and understanding what you want to work on. My practice draws on strengths and resilience approaches, and is underpinned by evidence based principles. I work with individuals, couples and families. I have a special interest in parent-child relationships and adoption and fostering.
I am a Systemic Family Therapist/ Psychotherapist and also a qualified Social Worker. I have over 25 years clinical experience working with individuals, couples and families. I have worked across the age-span, within the NHS, Education, Social Care and in my own Independent Practice.
Professional Accreditations:
I am accredited by the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and Association of Family Therapy (AFT) to work with people of all ages. I am also registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and as a qualified Social Worker, I am registered with Social Work England and the British Association of Social Workers (BASW).
I have appropriate Insurance, Clinical Supervision and I have an Enhanced DBS Certificate.
Practicalities:

- Appointments offered during the day, with some evening availability
- Weekly, Fortnightly and Ad Hoc Sessions are available
- Therapy can be Face to Face, Online or via telephone. For couple/ family sessions face to face may be more appropriate.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
