My Approach

I believe in the power of talking therapies to improve people's lives, help reframe situations, shift perspectives, patterns, and behaviours. My approach is to be responsive to the individual's needs, exploring what you hope to gain from our work when we first meet, and throughout the process.

Having trained as a psychotherapist and psychotherapeutic counsellor in transactional analysis, my influences are various: I work integratively and holistically, drawing from both humanistic and psychoanalytic traditions. I share the view commonly held in the literature that the most important vehicle for change is the quality of the relationship between therapist and client.

If you'd like to discuss how I might be able to help you make sense of your place in the world and improve your relationships with yourself and with others, please get in touch for an initial consultation. Sessions take place in a comfortable and private outside office space or online.

I offer a free, no-obligation 30-minute consultation or telephone conversation to better understand how I may be able to help you, what you are seeking from our work, and how we might best work together.

Qualifications:
Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling (Level 6), Metanoia Institute
Diploma in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy (Level 7), Metanoia Institute
MSc in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy, Middlesex University
Certified Transactional Analyst (CTA)
MA in Comparative Literary Studies - Goldsmith's College, University of London
Post-graduate Certificate in Education - University of Cambridge
BA English Language & Communication - University of London

About Me

December 2024: My practice is currently full, and I am therefore unable to take on any new clients right now.

I have worked in the helping professions all my adult life, and have six years of clinical experience. I see psychotherapy as a fundamentally hopeful process, helping to bring about change and make sense of yourself, others, the world, and your place in it. I offer an empathic, non-judgemental space with gentle challenge to help you explore issues which might be troubling you. I encourage you to listen to yourself to find your own answers and increase your sense of agency and autonomy.
