Through our early experiences in our families and the societies in which we are raised, we devleop conscious and unconscious relational patterns. These patterns of relationship that we experience influence how we see the world and interact with it; at times these pattens prevent us from thriving and living life in the way we may wish. I believe that through connection with others we can explore and understand ourselves better, freeing us to live as we may wish to.
I am a Group Analyist; I offer psychodynamic psychotherapy to individuals and conduct psychotherapy groups. I have full clinical membership of UKCP. I qualified at the Institue of Group Analysis, London. I maintain membership of the IGA and of the Group Analytic Society International (GASi).
I work in the NHS and in private practice in the Brighton area. I have a number of years experience in working as a psychotherapist in the NHS, working with groups and individuals. I have almost 20 years experience working therapeutically with traumatised adolescents, both in care and education settings. I offer a confidential space where you can come and we can think together about your, thoughts, feelings, and experiences. This can lead to a deeper understanding of yourself and allow you to make benficial changes to your life.
I have worked effectively with patients struggling with issues related to; anxiety, depression, addiction, difficult thoughts, identity issues, issues with relationships and managing emotions. The struggles that people come with are often been ones that they have been struggling with for some time and the treatment I offer can take time to see results.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
