Family therapy is a flexible and fluid space to come and think together about the difficulties you may be facing. We will build upon your family strengths and resources. In my approach I prioritise having open dialogue and being collaborative. We may do this in a variety of approaches including being playful, kind, thoughtful and reflective. I consistently see the positive results which can be achieved by us coming together to explore what is going on and how to work through it in a united way.
I am a Systemic and Family Psychotherapist, registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy and a member of the Association for Family Therapy. I strongly believe therapy can be creative and fun. As well as transformative and empowering. I am optimistic that family therapy enables family members, couples and others who care about each other to express and explore difficult thoughts and emotions safely. It offers an opportunity to reflect on important relationships and find ways forward. I have experience working with people of all ages across a variety of different settings. These include NHS, private and voluntary sector positions. I see families and close relationships at the centre of supporting one another.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
