Counselling In Twickenham | Counselling Whitton | EnduringMind
Welcome to my counselling page. I'm Greg.
I believe in a compassionate, open-minded approach to counselling. Helping you make sense of difficult thoughts and emotions, as you recover from anxiety, depression or a personal crisis. At Counselling Twickenham I can restore your confidence and self-worth in relationships, as you put the pieces together again with someone you trust.
I focus on finding the best way forward to help you remain true to yourself. For this reason, I see our work together as a partnership which thrives on effective listening and feedback. Offering realistic solutions that resonate with your experience. As a long-practising counsellor and therapist, I am committed to offering clients a supportive, therapeutic relationship in counselling.
I am someone you can confide in, as you give voice your struggles, hopes and concerns for the future. I believe it helps, having someone by your side to listen and speak with in a safe environment and not feel judged. I understand that any changes you want make can be fraught with challenges. So it is often easier to explore these issues with a counsellor who gives you the space to build on your strengths and develop independence.
For most clients, counselling is a way of becoming more aware of themselves, as the look into their conflicted thoughts and emotions, or try to rebuild broken relationships. You can discuss these issues with someone by your side, enabling you to gain clarity and self-awareness
During a personal crisis things can feel overwhelming; knocking your confidence and self-esteem. This is where I use attentive listening and feedback as a way of helping my clients deal with their pain and distress. We will work together to address your impulses, emotions and underlying patterns of behaviour. As you learn to become more reflective and engaged in your own progress. With each step forward, we will work on your strengths, as well as solutions that are matched to your needs such as Mindfulness.
I consider myself open-minded and easy to talk to. You may find it difficult coping with anxiety, trauma, a personal crisis or a period of depression. This is where I can help you tackle your problems with careful listening and commentary and meaningful observations. I have a good sense of humour and I think it’s important to develop an attitude of tolerance and respect. This comes from a rich life experience of working with people from many different backgrounds, cultures, professions, genders and sexual orientations. During my training I cut my teeth as a counsellor and psychotherapist at MIND, the NHS and the first male counsellor at Portsmouth Rape Crisis Service. I have also practiced counselling at Winchester University and as a counselling supervisor at St. Mary's University.
I offer both individual and couples counselling at affordable rates:
Individual counselling - £75/hour
Couples counselling - £95/hour
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
