My philosophy is based on a integrative approach with an underlying foundation focused on transpersonal, and positive psychology, that empowers young and mature people by guiding and enriching their sense of identity and self, that supports and develops self-awareness, insight into repeated patterns, and builds self-confidence, self-esteem and self-worth.
I use various tools such as a play therapy, guided visualisations, Emotional Freedom Technique, CBT, sand tray, and other tools to support where each individual is at, from working with a young children through to adults, couples, families and group work.
I have seventeen years of working with children, young people, adults, couples, families and group facilitation. Before setting up a private practice, I worked as lead facilitator, project manager and education and youth development officer for a charity called Teens and Toddlers. I created a holistic model that supported young people to connect to their meaning and purpose in life. I also worked at Kids Company as a key worker and therapist in primary and secondary school settings in East London. I worked ina boy’s secondary school, and developed and ran experiential workshops to support the emotional wellbeing of the boys, teachers and parents.
I worked for Achieving for Children (CAMHS), as a mental health practitioner, working in schools delivering resilient, anxiety and stress management training programs and also assessing clients for therapeutic allocation within CAMHS.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
