We all go through different periods in life when we feel unsettled. Maybe you are longing for something, or feel in a way that perhaps you just don't understand. Therapy can help you find your way in the world, and make sense of your experience. Taking the first step in approaching therapy can be daunting, and opening up and speaking about yourself can initially feel overwhelming. Yet, I want to assure you, it is a healthy decision. Therapy offers a safe, therapeutic space where you can explore your past, present, or options for the future, alongside a trusting and compassionate therapist.
My approach is Integrative and collaborative. This means that over the course of my six years of training, I have encountered and practiced a wide variety of therapeutic modalities and techniques to individually enhance each client’s experience. I work collaboratively with you and alongside you, as we explore your unique experience in this world.
You may have some questions about what therapy looks like and feels like. I am happy to speak with you in an initial session to answer any of your questions. If you feel ready to begin therapy, then we will agree to meet every week for fifty minutes to engage in what hopes to be a meaningful and worthwhile experience.
In addition to my private practice, I have worked in the NHS, mental health charities, and bereavement services. I am a member of the BACP and UKCP which means I adhere to the ethical guidelines set out by the two regulatory bodies governing the field of Psychotherapy.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
