My Approach

I am a Humanistic Integrative Psychotherapist qualified to work with children, young people and adults. I draw on a variety of different theories, including Transactional Analysis, and my approach is Person- Centred. I offer a confidential and non-judgemental space for you, and help you to make sense of what is causing any issues. Everyone has their own unique experiences in life, and times when they feel less than “OK”, whether it be, in relationships, life events or health issues. I work relationally, taking the time to listen, build trust and give understanding, to thoughts and feelings that you bring. Some people prefer creative methods to help tell their story, whilst others prefer to have practical help with coping strategies. Our work can be tailored to your own goals, at a pace that is comfortable.

About Me

I have experience of working with a wide age range of children and adults and in a variety of settings including; schools, charities and a GP surgery. I have worked, and have specific knowledge of children and families who have suffered domestic abuse, and children and families with additional needs. I work with a wide range of issues including: domestic abuse; ADHD; Autism; grief and loss; abuse; bullying; low self-esteem; anxiety; depression, and trauma.
I am a registered, and accredited member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I am a registered member of the British Association of Psychotherapy and Counselling (BACP), and work in line with both codes of ethics. I am also a member of the Northern Guild of Psychotherapy.
I am fully insured, hold a current enhanced DBS and am registered with the ICO.
