My Approach

I work principally by looking at a client's existence, how they feel about themselves and how they relate to others. I work with the client to improve their understanding of their life and relationships.

About Me

I have an Advanced Diploma in Existential Psychotherapy from Regents University (formerly the London School of Psychotherapy and Counselling) and a Masters degree from Regents College in Psychotherapy and Counselling. I am a registered member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and abide by their ethical guidelines. I offer both short term and long term work, from as few as one session a week for 6 sessions or an open ended way where sessions can extend to meeting regularly over a long period of time. I work in an integrative framework which means that I draw on a number of therapeutic approaches. I did my Clinical Placement at London Metropolitan University, MIND and The Recovery Centre.

I work with

  • Companies
  • Couples
  • Families
  • Individuals
  • Private healthcare referrals

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I work with clients helping them to harness the strengths that an ADHD brain can give as well as coping with the challenges.
Anxiety is felt by all of us, it represents a red flag to warn us that something is wrong. I work with clients to understand their anxiety and rationalise it or explain why they are fearful and how it can be overcome or at least acknowledged.
Whilst death is an inevitability for us all, our society has historically not dealt with the pain and anguish that bereavement brings. I try to give clients the space to grieve and manage their anger, guilt, pain and sorrow and to manage relationships within families that are often exposed after death.
I have experience working with clients with eating disorders and my training as an Existential psychotherapist enables me to look at the client's way of being with them and understand any traumas that they have experienced in their lives and work with them going forward.
I work using EMDR to try and help clients to process trauma which has been stored and remains unresolved causing them to be blocked and unable to move forward in their lives.
