I am an integrative psychotherapist and EMDR Therapist - I combine a number of different approaches and tailor them to the individual needs of the client.
I work relationally. The relationship between the client and the therapist is very important. It is in relationships that the hurt happened initially and it is in the therapeutic relationships that healing can happen too.
I have a diverse cultural and professional background. Born to a Hungarian father and Slovakian mother I grew up in two cultures and countries, which significantly shaped my identity.
I started my career in translation and interpretation services managing my own business abroad working in a number of sectors with global businesses, as well as national and local governments and organisations.
I moved to the UK in 2006 and spent 10 years in London working in HR in the financial services. During this time I retrained and became a psychotherapist. I worked in a number of mental health services and charities, with private healthcare providers, Occupational Health and in private practice.
My diverse corporate, professional and personal experiences enrich my clinical practice and contribute to the benefit of my clients.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
