My Approach

My therapeutic approach is centred on the importance of the therapeutic relationship and attachment theory. I integrate neuroscientific research to understand the brain-body connection, and I use arts and play to create a safe space for exploration. I'm committed to fostering a supportive environment that embraces diversity and empowers children and young people to heal and grow.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

In my practice, I have a specialist interest in working with neurodivergent children, particularly focusing on Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) and autism in girls. Through my integrative and empathetic approach, I strive to create a supportive and understanding space for these individuals.
My work with Farleigh Hospice involves providing bereavement support to children and young people, offering a compassionate and understanding space for them to navigate their grief. Through an integrative approach, I strive to empower them during this difficult time, fostering resilience and healing as they cope with their emotions and memories. My goal is to ensure that they feel supported and understood as they navigate the grieving process and find their unique path towards healing and growth.
I approach parents with compassion and understanding, providing a safe space for them to discuss their relationships and struggles with their children. Through active listening and empathy, I help them gain insights and co-create effective strategies to enhance their connections with their children. Ultimately, my approach with parents is rooted in the belief that compassionate and empathetic support can empower them to navigate the challenges of parenthood with greater understanding, resilience, and love for their children.
