My approach is integrative and relational, drawing on psychodynamic, somatic, parts-based and evidence-based cognitive and exposure-based approaches as the work requires. What I bring specifically is the capacity to stay with you in the disorientating phase between recognising that the old frame no longer fits and finding what comes next. That phase is uncomfortable and most therapy moves past it too quickly. I have learned not to.
Areas of focus include anxiety, ADHD, depression, OCD, phobias, eating disorders, addiction, low self-esteem, relational and identity issues, and the long aftermath of difficult childhoods.
Sessions are weekly. In person in Broadway, Worcestershire, or online across the UK. I also offer occasional group work.
My current areas of specialism include anxiety, depression, addiction, eating disorders, existential issues, low self-esteem, anger and relationship issues.
I am a registered integrative psychotherapist and occupational therapist with over fifteen years across the NHS, The Priory, private practice and corporate settings. I am registered with UKCP/BACP for psychotherapy and HCPC for occupational therapy, and I work with most major UK insurance providers including BUPA, Aviva, Vitality and WPA. I work with adults who have done some of the obvious work and have reached the harder, less obvious layer underneath. People who are not in crisis but are not where they want to be. People who have had insight without it producing change.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
