My training is in existential psychotherapy, although I prefer to avoid clinging to labels like that. My approach is not informed by tricks, tools or diagnoses, but by intuition and intentionality.
Topics you might want to explore in therapy include:
Questions of meaning / purpose
Life transitions
Depression
Anxiety
Loneliness
Homesickness
A sense of dissatisfaction with life
I live my life with the rhythms of the seasons. I run an organic, traditional farm in France. My background is a mix of journalism, photography, horse training, guiding rock climbing, and various other things.
LOCATION AND FEES
I offer face - to - face walking / nature therapy at 87330 France. And remote / online therapy to individuals across Europe and the UK.
Sessions are open-ended. This means that the length of the therapy is entirely up to you and will depend on what you hope to gain from it. This is something we will discuss together, taking into account your reasons for attending therapy. Generally clients see me for six months to two years or more.
50 minute sessions cost £50 / €50. The first session costs £40 / €40 and is an opportunity for us to meet and discuss what you hope to gain from therapy, and decide where we would like to work together.
I offer some concessionary rates to individuals who cannot afford the full fee.
One life: are you living it with conscience?
My work is inspired by the same kind of questions that fuel me in my own life: How should I live? What does it mean to live life "well"?
When I was looking for my own therapist years ago, I read a lot of websites by earnest therapists claiming that they could help relieve my symptoms. But that's not what I wanted. For me the idea of symptom-relief felt flimsy and like it reduced my complex experience to something simple and one-dimensional that could be done away with by a series of step-by-step goals or hacks. I didn't want someone to take away my experience; I wanted someone to listen to me and witness my experience. I had a sense that real growth came from becoming curious about, settling into, and accepting the present.
Now as a psychotherapist myself, I am convinced that the real value in therapy is providing a space of deep listening to my clients. No other relationship we encounter in our lives is quite like the therapeutic relationship. Here my role as a therapist is to focus my attention and energy entirely on you.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
